Teresa is a past recipient of a University of Sussex Alumni Society Award for Excellence in Teaching. Teresa has also received a Student-Led Teaching Award for Outstanding/Innovative Undergraduate Teaching, a University of Sussex Award for Excellence in Teaching, a Student-Led Teaching Award for Outstanding Support for the Learning Experience of Students and a University of Sussex Teaching Innovation Prize. 

Teresa is a member of the Selden Society, Society of Legal Scholars, Association of Law Teachers, Ecclesiastical Law Society, Socio-Legal Studies Association, the Law and Religion Scholars Network and is the Council Member of the Society of Legal Scholars for Sussex. Teresa is secretary to the Ecclesiastical Law Society's Training Committee which runs online and in person educational events.
