BIO

Claire is a physician and clinical researcher in HIV and Sexual Health. She obtained her medical degree from King’s College London in 2014, and subsequently trained in general internal medicine in the Southeast. She has undertaken specialist training in Sexual Health and HIV in London and Brighton and has experience conducting clinical research in the UK and East Africa. She holds an MSc in Reproductive & Sexual Health Research from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She is currently undertaking a Wellcome Trust-funded clinical PhD fellowship in Uganda at the MRC/UVRI & LSHTM Uganda Research Unit, examining HIV drug resistance in the context of long-acting injectable antiretroviral agents as treatment and prevention, with the aim of contributing to their safe use and implementation.
