Madeleine is a PhD researcher in the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) and Energy Demand Research Centre (EDRC). Her research examines the political economy of energy demand reduction in housing and place-based decarbonisation strategies. Madeleine has also published research on the provision of land for community-led housing and previously worked on housing and planning issues as a policy advisor, planner, and local journalist. She holds a BA in World Arts and Cultures from UCLA and an MSc in Housing and City Planning from UCL.
