I'm Dan, the Senior Technician Demonstrator in Film & Video for MAH. I look after the equipment and facilities under these areas. I also provide demonstrations in Camera, Lighting, Editing, Colour Correction/Grading on a range of different hardware and software.

Alongside my work supporting students in the craft and technique of moving image production, I maintain an active practice as a documentary filmmaker, with a number of non-fiction projects currently in development and production.

My work is grounded in place, landscape and community, exploring how attentive, poetic documentary can foreground the voices, environments and ways of life that often sit at the edges of mainstream cinema. Recent and ongoing projects extend these concerns across rural and regional settings, where I work closely and over time with the people and places I film. 

As a Blackmagic-certified DaVinci Resolve trainer, I bring industry-recognised technical expertise to the students.
