BIO

I am the creative director of Claypot Records, a research and arts collective of contemporary instrumental and vocal improvisers based in Europe. The team of composers, performers and editors maintain a library of over 20,000 individually mixed, cut, and annotated gesture-length samples from the bleeding edge of contemporary performance technique, enabling new approaches to composing score-based and electroacoustic works. We are committed to the highest standard of creative output as artists, but our trove of rich musical data enables even deeper insights through independent research. The Claypot SoundLab has received over €100,000 in grants funded by the European Commission and researching sample classification and analysis using neural networks trained on our proprietary data. We offer free, private access to our data and sample library for research and creative composition to any interested individuals. Reach out to me directly for details!
