I am a Chartered and Registered Occupational Psychologist (BPS and HCPC) and Reader in Occupational and Organizational Psychology. I am course director for the MSc in Occupational and Organizational Psychology joint programme, run by the Business School and School of Psychology.

My research interest is in understanding individual differences in digital working and how this impacts well-being and performance. I am a Deputy Director at the ESRC Digital Futures at Work research centre (DIGIT), where I co-lead the 'Healthy Working Lives' research theme, the Insights Hub, and the Mid and Early Career Researcher (MECR) scheme. I am also founding Director of agiLab - an AACSB award-winning collaboration with the NHS, investigating research and best practice in agile working (https://agiLab.org.uk). I disseminate my research in high impact journals, peer-reviewed conferences, practitioner publications and policy documents, along with other media outlets. My funding has been awarded by the ESRC, MRC, Acas, the NHS, Richard Benjamin Trust, and private bodies. I am an Associate Editor for the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology (JOOP), Special Issue guest editor for Social, Sciences & Medicine, and a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Organizational Behavior (JOB). I currently supervise 5 PhD students, and am interested to hear from other high-calibre applicants.

My teaching expertise is in selection and development, well-being and individual differences at work. I am an external examiner at UEA, and have also served as external examiner for University of Surrey and University of London, Birkbeck College. My degrees are in BSc Psychology (Warwick: Class 1), MSc Occupational Psychology (Cardiff: Distinction), and a PhD in Psychology (Surrey). A practitioner-academic, I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS: Associate Fellow), the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Higher Education Authority (HEA: Fellow). I am a member of the BPS Test-Users Verifiers Committee, and am also a registered test-user and verified assessor.
