​I am a Research Fellow at the University of Sussex in the ERC project NEWREPUBLIC. Previously I have been an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the Lahore University of Management Sciences and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Antwerp. I received my PhD from the University of Essex, Department of Government. I have held visiting positions at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, Aarhus University and the V-Dem Institute. Here is my CV.

My research focuses on affective rhetoric, political behaviour, democratic resilience, and South Asian politics. I develop research designs using a variety of data and methods, including experimental and survey methods, content analysis, observational data, and interviews.
