I believe that education is a shared effort aiming at transforming (for the good) students, teachers and society. In a shared effort teachers and students learn from each other, thinking critically beyond what is immediate and convenient, and paying attention to emotions, spontaneity and creativity. My inclusive research-led teaching approach is influenced by my past experiences as a ballet dancer, a programme officer for Save the Children Italy, and as a cause lawyer supporting the rights of LGBTIQ+ people. The principles I follow in my teaching are respect, great happiness in learning, and equality and I draw upon ballet and dancing pedagogy.  Overall, this means that harmony and balance come out from rigour, movement, theory, respect for human rights and social justice.  

I was finalist in the 2020 OUP Law Teacher of the Year Award, and with the Clinical Legal Education Team, I won the Sussex Learning Together Teaching Award 1919.
