The practice-led doctoral project, Art as 'Artificial Stupidity', completed in 2016, discussed strategies of interaction with everyday functional processes, including appropriation, misuse, lampooning and tinkering with technological systems. Current research centres firstly on post-conceptual art involving performative interventions, and on the growing field of Critical AI Studies. Technology interests include both softer digital systems and heavier infrastructure, together with the relationship between the two.
