My research interest lie in the gendered and racialised embodiment of international relations, development, war, refugee governance and humanitarianism, with a focus on how people engage with, practice and experience global politics. I'm currently working on people hosting refugees in homes and communities and how 'ordinary people' are responding to humanitarian emergencies and needs. I'm curious about this practice as a form of 'everyday humanitarianism', what it means within the context of wider refugee regimes, as well as what it says about the role of Home as a political space within global politics.
