TEACHING & SUPERVISION SUMMARy
Research degree supervision:
To date I have supervised four PhDs in my laboratory: one is ongoing and three to successful completion.
The projects have been in the area of telomere function, using genetics, molecular and cell biology, to understand the role of the telomeric complex in protecting chromosome ends and regulating the action of the telomerase enzyme.
Projects in this general field are available, utilising the yeast model system (both budding and fission yeast) and human cells.
I welcome enquiries about supervising research degree (i.e., PhD) projects on my broad range of interests on the role of telomeres in ensuring genome stability.
