BIO

ABOUT ME:

I am Professor of Philosophy at the University of Sussex, Vice-Chair of the Royal Institute of Philosophy, Deputy Director of the Sussex Centre for Consciousness Science, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. I did my undergraduate work at St Andrews, and my graduate work at Kings College London. I have previously held posts at the University of St. Andrews, the University of Kansas, and the University of Nebraska. I work primarily in the philosophy of mind and language.
