Chloe's research interests lie in how environmental management is constrained or facilitated by legal and governance frameworks. For her doctoral research, Chloe developed an innovative research methodology that integrated ecological and social perspectives into law and policy research. She is currenlty researching newly introduced legal frameworks for nature restoration across the UK.

Chloe is keenly interested in the reform of environmental law and policy currently underway across the UK. She worked with Sussex University's UK Trade Policy Observatory on post-Brexit UK trade law and policy in relation to the environment. Chloe also worked as legal researcher for the UK Environmental Law Association on post-Brexit environmental law reform across the UK.

Chloe has collaborated and published with Dr Emily Lydgate on post-Brexit food safety law and on UK climate policy. In March 2023, Chloe undertook a UKRI policy internship with the Joint Nature Conservation Committee and the UK Biodiversity Group on legal frameworks underpinning for the UK's international biodiversity targets.

Chloe welcomes enquiries for supervision of research in nature restoration law, biodiversity law, climate change law, planning law and environmental regulation, as well as other areas of environmental law and governance, in particular in the UK and EU contexts.
