BIO

I am a Lecturer in Academic Skills and Student Experience (Law), offering academic advice to undergraduate and Masters students in one-to-one and group sessions. I teach on the Advanced Legal Research and Writing module (Masters) and Justice, Equality and Society (undergraduate).

My research interests focus on race equity and I am working on a toolkit for narrowing ethnicity awarding gaps at the University.

I am also a professional author and editor. Along with Ben Rogaly and Amy Clarke, I co-authored Brighton Bound: Stories of Moving To, Around and Out of the City, 1920s–2020s, which was selected as the Sussex Big Read for 2025–26.

I volunteer at Migrant English Project, teaching English to refugees and vulnerable migrants, and facilitate a story-reading group for asylum seekers and refugees in Brighton and Hove.
