As the Faculty of Media Arts & Humanities (MAH) Senior Research Manager, I work closely with the Associate Dean for Research & Innovation, the External Grant Lead, Innovation, Industry and Engagement Lead and PGR Lead to stimulate a productive and supportive research environment for our academics and PGRs. This includes a focus on impact and KE support (we hold an AHRC Impact Acceleration Account), REF 2029 preparation and research events.

I manage the Research Professional Services team who offer a range of specialist administrative support to researchers and PGRs in MAH. We are based in the Silverstone Building on campus which provides a home to the MAH Research Institute. Prior to this role I was the Research Impact and Engagement Manager in the School of Global Studies working through the REF 2021 submission. I've worked at Sussex on and off for over 20 years and my experience includes working as the Business Development Manager with a portfolio for Creative and Cultural Industries and Development Manager in COGS, the former School of Cognitive and Computing Sciences (now known as the the School of Engineering and Informatics). I've also worked for the Arts Council.
